Yes.  All U.S. Citizens will need a valid Passport to travel to Mexico. If you do not have a passport you can apply online at  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel.html you may also want to apply for the Global Entry program operated by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Airfare is NOT included.  When you book your flight, you will need to fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN).

No, you will need to register first. Along with your confirmation, you will receive a link to use to book your hotel at our special negotiated rates.  Non-IATW Retreat rates at the Unico Resort are significantly higher without the link.

NO.  THE REGISTRATION FEE IS SEPARATE FROM THE ROOM RESERVATION CHARGES. Each participant will be responsible for securing her reservation at the Unico Resort by booking online via the link provided by the I Am That Woman Retreat when receiving your registration confirmation.  Hotel reservations must be secured with a MasterCard, Visa or American Express valid up to the day of departure.   

The Unico Resort will now accept a payment of one night (non-refundable) to hold your reservation, balance due at check-in.  Let us know if you have any trouble reserving your room.   

No.  One person will need to book the double room and submit payment on one credit card. The Unico accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

No.  Individuals must be registered for the I Am That Woman Retreat to attend the sessions or meal activities.  No one will be admitted to any of our events without proper credentials, which are issued by I Am That Woman Retreat. 

Yes.  The Unico Resort will honor the I Am That Woman Retreat negotiated daily rates for October 20th – 27th subject to availability.   The Unico is completely booked the week after our event. It is recommended that if you plan to take advantage of these rates, you should secure those days at time of booking. You must be registered with the I Am That Woman Retreat to receive those rates.  Full payment for all days are due at the time of booking.

All-inclusive amenities apply to services on the resort property and designated off-site golf and excursions.  Some of the all-inclusive services have a 25% service fee.  For example, a $200 spa treatment or golf green fee will be reflected as $40.00 when you check out.  Taxes and gratuities are included in your room rate.  Additional tipping in cash is at your discretion.

Resort casual.  Shoes or sandals and proper attire are required at the indoor sessions.  There will be a “white party” at the dinner on Friday, October 23rd.  Outdoor attire: bathing suits, shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops by the pool, beach, outdoor restaurants and shops.

Make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen.

The Unico Resort is approximately 50 miles from the Cancun International Airport.  We will supply attendees with a link to our preferred transportation vendors and you can book through them or we can assist you.  Roundtrip costs range from $60 per person + 16% for a shared van. 

The Unico offers limited and general medical services, also the services of the nearby hospital which the Unico has hired for those purposes at a customary fee if needed.

The $325 of the registration fee is non-refundable.  Room cancellations must be received by the hotel before October 1st.  Cancellation after October 1st will incur a one night stay charge.

If you have taken travel insurance and you need to cancel for a covered condition, you can make a claim with the insurance carrier to recover any lost payments.
